About ZZ Plant
The ZZ Plant, or Zamioculcas, is native to Central Africa, but has spread across much of the eastern side of the continent too. It’s used to extreme weather, surviving long periods of drought, and intense downpours. The ways it’s adapted to those conditions are the reason it’s such an excellent, easygoing houseplant.
Our ZZ Plant stands at a height of 18″-22″; Nursery pot width: 6″
ZZ Plants are an ideal option if you don’t have bright rooms. This plant can cope with very little light, though not total darkness. Keep your ZZ Plant looking its shiny best by giving the leaves a gentle wipe with a soft cloth every now and again when they look dusty.
ZZ Plants don’t need a lot of water, particularly in winter. Water only when the top two inches of soil are dry.
ZZ Plants is one of NASA’s top air-purifying plants and has been found to remove an astonishing number of common air pollutants and toxins floating around the home such as xylene, toluene, and benzene.
LOOKING AFTER THE PLANT
Water once per 15 days approximately in the Winter and once per week in the Spring and Summer. Always keep in mind that the first 2 inches of soil need to be dry before watering thoroughly. He’ll like a monthly feed during the growing season diluted at half strength, but not during Winter.
PLANT CARE WITH PETS AND CHILDREN
ZZ plants are considered toxic to both children and small pets and may cause skin and eye irritation as well as stomach aches, vomiting, and diarrhea when ingested. Wash your hands after you have touched the plant directly to ensure there is no sap or residue that may cause irritation.
