Where does PlantX ship to?

PlantX.ca offers Canada-wide shipping for meals, plants, and consumer goods.

How do I get free shipping?

Easy! Simply spend $99 or more on PlantX products (after discounts) and the shipping is free!

Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

Sorry, but currently, we do not ship to any P.O. Boxes.

How long will it take for my order to get to me?

For consumer goods we have different shipping options however it is typically between 1-5 days. For plant delivery, your plant can take up to 5 business days.

What is PlantXPress Membership, and how do I join?

The PlantXpress membership program is available to customers for $24.95 per month or $199.95 per year. Benefits include free shipping on orders of $49.99 and up (Instead of $99+), a 5% discount on all products (including already discounted items) and product lines we carry (online and in-store), exclusive access to deals, promos, and features available only to PlantXPress Members, priority access to PlantX special events, and exclusive access to the PlantX Fitness Experience (launching later in 2021). All member orders will be shipped within 1-2 days providing swift access to PlantX products at any time as well.

How do I use my coupon code?

Apply your coupon code on the checkout page where the box says ‘coupon code’. All you have to do is add the code in there and click apply. Your cart will automatically reflect the discounted amount.

Can I use more than one coupon code?

Coupon codes are good for one-time use only, and they can’t be used in conjunction with any other offers or codes.

Can I use more than one gift card?

Absolutely! Simply add your first gift card and hit the “apply” button. Once you have done that, and the amount is applied, then you can add your second gift card in the same box.

What type of payments do you accept?

We happily accept the following methods of payment:
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and Paypal.

What courier do you use?

Your PlantX order will arrive via FedEx, ICS and/or Purolator.

Can I change or cancel my order?

At PlantX, we’re always striving to deliver the best customer service experience possible. As a result, we strive to expedite orders as quickly as we can, so once an order is placed and paid for, a change or cancellation is unfortunately not possible. However, if you wish to return your order, simply follow our return policy, which can be found here

Why can’t I checkout?

Ah, shoot! We’re sorry that you are experiencing some trouble placing your order. Please try clearing your cache (your browser’s history stored by the web). Sometimes the cache can interfere with the checkout process on sites, by slowing it down by trying to collect old information. Try giving the cache on your browser a good clean. Please check with your browser for instructions on how to clear your cache. If you’re still unsure please reach out to our customer service team, and we will be happy to show you how.

Can I check the status of my order?

Yes, we will send you a tracking number via email. You can also check your order here

Do you have a return policy?

Yes, under specific requirements. Please visit our Shipping & Returns page for more details. For damaged items, contact info@PlantX.com.

Are all products gluten-free, kosher and non-gmo?

Not all of them, but we have a search function in our shop section to make it easy to find those products.

Are all products on the website plant-based?

Yes, all products are 100% plant-based, the products will also include a list of ingredients for your reassurance.

I am missing some products in my order?

Once you have received your order and reviewed your packing slip, you have 48 hours to report any missing items to our customer service team at info@plantx.com. After 48 hours our team will not be able to provide you with a refund.

When can I expect my refrigerated items to be shipped?

Refrigerated items will be shipped every Monday and Tuesday. If an order is placed after Tuesday, the refrigerated items will ship the following Monday. If pantry items are also ordered they will ship immediately, but separate from the refrigerated items.

When do meals get delivered?

Every Monday for Vancouver Orders
Vancouver: 10:30am – 2:00pm
North/West Vancouver: 12:00pm – 3:00pm
Burnaby: 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Surrey: 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Richmond: 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Every Tuesday for the rest of Canada
We will send an email to notify you that the delivery has left the warehouse. You will be notified
via text message with an approximate time of delivery.

Who prepares the meals?

For our original 10 meals that were made with meat alternatives, we collaborated with the chefs at Modern Meat because their products are protein-rich and vegan, but PlantX has assembled a team of executive chefs, nutritionists and trainers to develop our ever-evolving menu that’s not only healthy, but absolutely delicious as well! Our team, along with UpMeals, which is also located in Vancouver, are ready to serve you something we know you’ll love. From an idea in our minds, to a delicious meal on your doorstep, we take pride in our meal program every step of the way.

What types of meat alternatives are available?

Crumble, Meatballs and vegan ‘Crab’ Cakes are a few of the meat alternatives on offer from Modern Meat. These products are used throughout a handful of our pre-made meals resulting in nutritious and protein-packed recipes that are delicious!

Do the meals and the products arrive in the same order?

No, you will receive the meals and products separately.

How long do the meals last?

The meals last 5-7 days refrigerated from the delivery date.

If you are dropping food off when I am not home, how does it stay fresh (not go bad)?

The production team assembles and plates the meals fresh every weekend and they are sent out for delivery in a temperature-controlled truck or box each Monday. If you are unable to have someone home to receive the meals, they will be left outside the door in an insulated bag which will keep the meals cold. If you know in advance you will not be able to receive the delivery at a specific time, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate this request.

Is it a subscription-based delivery service?

PlantX has both options available. We offer a rotating, subscription-free, a la carte menu for weekly meal delivery throughout Canada. The a la carte menu requires a minimum order of 5 of our pre-made, chef-curated meals plus any add-ons you’d like to include. We accept online orders anytime. New to PlantX are our meal plans for those who want complete plant-based nutrition for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, curated by our very own certified nutritionist from our medical advisory board, Ms. Amy Gensel RD, CSNC. The meal plan is available in both 3 and 5-day programs where you can receive all of your delicious and nutritious meals delivered right to your door. You can order a 3-day or 5-day meal plan as a one time purchase, or you can save 10% by subscribing to weekly deliveries.

The meals were delivered in a reusable bag, what do I do with this?

We have been working on a system for reusable bags. They definitely should not be thrown in the garbage, you can repurpose them as we cannot arrange for pick up due to COVID guidelines. We understand this is unfortunate, and we are ready to implement pick up services as soon as COVID restrictions are lifted.

Does the menu change?

We offer a variety of meals with updates and seasonal favorites. Meals will be rotated regularly with the exception of a few top sellers that will remain on the menu. There should be 10+ meal options at any given time.

What type of packaging is used?

All of our plant-based meals come in compostable and/or recyclable containers.

Can I recycle the cold packs from my delivery?

Absolutely! These cold packs can be refrozen and used again when taking food on the go. If you’re ready to dispose of them, we don’t recommend pouring the gel inside the packs down the drain, but it can be safely disposed of in the trash, and the outer wrapping is 100% recyclable.

Is the shipping for free for plants?

The shipping is free when you order$99+ worth of plants.

Do the plants come in a pot or do I have to buy them separately?

Yes, each plant is shipped in its nursery pot. However, we have a selection of decorative pots that are available for purchase. 

Wait. How come my plant doesn’t look like the one on the website?

Plants are living organisms, so there will be slight variations or minor imperfections from plant to plant. Similar to people, this is what makes them unique! We do our absolute best to select plants that closely resemble the plant that was photographed, however the photos that are provided on our site are a visual and descriptive guide only. 

Some plants may arrive that are not physically as mature as the one in the photo. This is OK, as it allows for you to nurture and care for your plants as they continue to grow.

If I order a decorative pot, will my plant be potted for me?

Unfortunately, this is not a service we provide, and we do this for several reasons.

– Your plant has gone on a big journey! It will need some time to acclimate to your home before it is repotted. If we repotted your –plant for you, then we would be causing unnecessary additional stress that could cause your plants to become upset.

– Some of our pots do not have drainage holes, and watering should be done with caution. The nursery pots do have drainage holes and will allow air to circulate around the roots during shipping

Where do you deliver in Canada?

We deliver across Canada. Typically, the average delivery takes up to 5 business days to arrive from the day it is shipped out. However, due to the size of Canada, and since we ship from BC,  shipping may take up to 7 business days for Eastern Provinces.

Is it safe for the plants to travel?

Absolutely! We take several stems to safely secure plants for travel.

  1. We only select plants that will be able to withstand the stress of travel. 
  2. We provide several layers of protection to reduce movement and stress on your plants during transit. 
  3. Each Package is marked, indicating that the courier needs to be gentle with the plants. We have also cultivated a relationship with the courier to ensure that your plant arrives safely.

I am unhappy with my plant, who can I speak to?

We are incredibly sorry to hear this and would like to hear from you. Please email us at info@plantx.com so that we can begin to help you. Please include your order number and photos of your plant so that we can look into this for you.

I would like to send a plant as a gift!

This is a wonderful idea! We have a selection of plants that would make great gifts. 

At check out, select the “Sending a Gift? Add a Gift Message” option and leave a note! We will add the message to the package invoice that is included with every order. Don’t worry we will remove the price from the invoice.

My plant looks sad and unhappy, what do I do?

It’s Important to not panic! Sometimes plants need a slight adjustment to their care or environments. Typically these are easy fixes and require a lighting, water, or temp adjustment to get your plant to look lush again. 

Each plant order is sent out with specialized care cards, these will help provide a guideline of your plant’s requirements. You can also visit the plant description located on our page that provides vital information for each plant. 

You can also email our Customer service team at info@plantx.com with any questions or concerns and they will be happy to help you troubleshoot the problem. 

Soil Loss and what to expect when my shipment arrives?

Due to the nature of shipping, It is normal to experience some soil displacement.  This is Okay! It should not negatively affect your plant. 

Make sure to open the package over a sink or table where soil can be easily cleaned up. 

**We do not recommend opening your package over any type of carpeting or furniture. 

Loose soil can be placed back into the plant’s nursery pot and lightly pressed down to re-secure it. 
Leaf Loss: 
Some plant leaves are more delicate, and shipping will sometimes cause the plant to lose some leaves. Don’t stress! This is normal and your plant’s way of communicating that it needs some TLC after shipping. 

Leaves will begin the process of growing back once the plant has acclimated to your home and receives the proper care. 
Leaf Damage: 
We take extra precautions to mitigate damage or stress to your plants, however, due to the nature of shipping it is reasonable to expect some slight damage to leaves or even small amounts of bruising. This is similar to what plants might experience in their natural habitats. 

As your plant receives the proper care and attention it will begin to grow and produce new leaves. 

Where is the PlantX store located?

Our New Deli by PlantX flagship store is located in the beautiful town of Squamish, BC. It’s right beside Locavore Bar & Grill at 1861 Mamquam Rd, Squamish, BC V8B 0G2.

What are the hours of operation?

The one-stop-shop for everything plant-based is open 7 days a week from 10:30am – 6:30pm pacific time.

Does the store accept returns from online orders?

If you have ordered a product online, and are looking to return it, please follow our returns process here. The store will not accept online order returns.

Will my coupon code work online and in-store?

At this time coupon codes are only available for our online store.

Does the store price match guarantee?

What can you expect from our Squamish store?

Similar to our online store, from pantry items to frozen and refrigerated items, everything is plant-based at the Squamish location. The store includes an education center dedicated to improving consumers’ knowledge of living a plant-based lifestyle. As well, the education center showcases videos featuring plant-based recipes, and other plant-based resources such as flyers, recipe cards, and nutrition tips. The store also showcases plants from our partner next door, Nootka & Sea.

Can I buy PlantX meals from the store?

You can purchase PlantX meals at the Cloudburst Cafe, which is in the same complex. Grab ready-to-go meals that are the same as our meal plan option.
