This is because these deliciously fruity organic spreads are free from artificial preservatives and contain a ⅓ less sugar than a traditional preserve. This means you need to be a little more careful about spoilage than with any old jam or jelly. Crofter’s has a few tips for keeping your Premium Spread in tip top condition for maximum enjoyment…

• Refrigerate the jar once opened and keep it in the coolest part of the refrigerator. That means towards the back rather than in the door. 
• Always use a clean utensil when serving, spreading or dolloping your Premium Spread to avoid crumb contamination!
