ABOUT REINDEER MOSS

This fuzzy-looking plant has a misleading name: Reindeer moss is actually a type of lichen! This plant naturally grows in northern regions and is a favorite snack of reindeer and caribou. Reindeer moss, like many lichens, prefers cool, shady areas and should be misted seldomly. Reindeer moss makes a great addition to displays such as terrarium or nearby other plants such as air plants.
